Just when we thought we’d seen the last of ‘emo’ Jimmy Butler, a persona the Miami Heat player unexpectedly took on last year, he’s back. This time around he can be seen in a music video for one of the most iconic emo bands, Fall Out Boy.
The last time we saw Jimmy’s dark look was media day in October, when he arrived with his hair straightened, pierced eyebrows, lips and wearing black nail polish. His appearance alluded to his mood after the Heat had missed out on a Damian Willard trade.
Released Wednesday, the music video for Fall Out Boy’s “So Much (For) Stardust” features Jimmy, which the band refers to as ‘Heat Wentz’, dressed in a glistening purple suit and cowboy hat. Singer Pete Wentz can also be seen in the video, wearing similar attire in white as the two dance around.
The band shared the snippet of the video to their socials, adding: “This ain’t our first rodeo… can’t wait to see you at the So Much For (2our) Dust shows.” They are about to kick off their highly anticipated global headlining tour in support of their latest album, So Much (For) Stardust. The tour will begin at the Moda Center in Portland, OR and will include stops in Orlando and Jacksonville, FL.
