Since opening last summer, Daniel’s Miami has quickly become a go-to for date nights and special occasions in the city. The sister restaurant to Michelin-recommended Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale, it has recently ranked No. 40 globally on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list (and 6th best in the U.S.)!
Now, the team behind both steakhouses is gearing up for a major move. Thomas and Kassidy Angelo, the father-daughter duo of Gioia Hospitality Group, have signed a lease to bring a new dining destination along the Edgewater waterfront.
The soon-to-be-named eatery will span a whopping 11,500 square feet on the ground floor of Aimco’s luxury development (560 NE 34th Street, Unit 101). That includes 2,500 square feet of outdoor space with a bar positioned directly on the bay.
“This location allows us to introduce a whole new audience to the hospitality, quality and guest experience we’ve built at Daniel’s, while making it much more accessible for residents of Midtown, Miami Beach and North Miami,” said co-founder Kassidy, who is a Midtown local herself. “We’re excited to become part of this neighborhood and create a waterfront destination the community can enjoy for years to come.”
The restaurant will spotlight the steak program that made Daniel’s famous, paired with an elevated seafood selection perfectly suited for dining on the water. To make sure the space matches the quality of the dishes, Rockwell Group has also been tapped to handle the design. The internationally acclaimed architecture firm is responsible for local venues like CATCH Miami Beach and Gekkō.

When will the new concept open?
The Edgewater location is projected to open in late 2027 or early 2028, so there’s still time to prepare your palates.
In the meantime, the Gioia team is keeping us fed with Daniel’s Miami; Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale; D’s Sports Bar and the upcoming Grove Isle Italian concept, La Sponda.
