After Doechii first revealed the cities for her upcoming Live from the Swamp Tour, we were pretty surprised the Florida native skipped the state entirely. But that’s no longer the case this week after the Grammy-winning rapper announced that she’ll be taking to Tampa’s Yuengling Center this fall for a hometown stop! It’s the only Florida date on the schedule so far.
Doechii’s connection to Florida is quite evident, notably in the “Swamp Princess” persona she adopted and the alligator imagery surrounding her Alligators Never Heal mixtape release, which also serves as a love letter to Tampa. Not only that, but the artist secured a spot on our first-ever SMN100 list, which spotlights the locals creating, innovating and shaping how we enjoy our city.
She first announced her tour in August, directly after her incredible Lollapalooza performance. A website flashed on the screen as she left the stage, which revealed a clock counting down until show dates appeared.
The Tampa concert is set to take place on October 25, 2025. Seeing how she just announced new dates and there’s still time until the start of the tour, maybe we can hope for a Miami announcement too?
