Not only has Childish Gambino surprised us with his newest album, Atavista, along with a music video, he’s also announced a massive world tour!
Dubbed “The New World Tour,” this move marks his first tour since 2019 and will trek across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He’ll make two stops in Florida this September, including Sunrise!
Atavista is the finalized version of an unfinished studio album that was uploaded to donaldgloverpresents.com in 2020. It was then uploaded on streaming services with the title 3.15.20, although it has since been taken down. Atavista now features songs with Ariana Grande, Summer Walker and others, and has two new tracks: “Atavista” and “Human Sacrifice.”
A music video for “Little Foot Big Foot” was also released before the announcement of the tour, which will begin on August 11 in Oklahoma City and end on February 11, 2025 in Perth. You can see the new video below:
Gambino will be coming to Sunrise to perform at the Amerant Bank Arena on September 5th. This show follows a Tampa stop at the Amalie Arena on September 4th. He’ll be accompanied by Willow (Willow Smith’s musical moniker) as a supporting act for both Florida shows.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 17th at 10am local time. Presale tickets, for those who sign up for early access, will become available on Wednesday, May 15th.
You can sign up at thenewworldtour.com. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for Gambino’s all-new album releasing in the summer!
