Composed in the late 1880s, The Sleeping Beauty is one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous ballets. It officially debuted in 1890 inside the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, and has dazzled audiences in cities all over the world ever since. Now, Ballet of Lights is bringing a luminous reimagining of the fairy tale to Miami. As the story unfolds over the course of 60 minutes, the classical fuses with the contemporary to push the boundaries of ballet. The lights on the ballerinas change color depending on the mood and tone of each scene.
