Next month, Downtown Doral’s Main Street will transform into a gallery with no walls and no ticket line. The 2nd Annual Downtown Doral Arts Festival takes over NW 53rd Street on November 14 and 15 to showcase visual arts, live music and culinary experiences, drawing in thousands of visitors.

More than 60 artists will set up booths along the street, filled with work in painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media and more. You can talk to those who made the pieces, ask what inspired them and eventually take something home.
The family and pet-friendly event lineup also includes live art experiences, gourmet food and drink, a farmer’s market and art for sale by students from Downtown Doral Charter School.

Local artists to look for
Many of the artists you can expect to find at the festival have South Florida ties. Dania Sierra, a Cuban-American painter based in Miami, is known for work that celebrates flora, fauna and the beauty of animals, built from dynamic shapes, bold lines and a vivid palette.
Meanwhile, Roy Rodriguez is a Doral-based painter returning for his second year. He draws inspiration from his Cuban heritage, and his work has appeared in galleries, cultural events and TV segments. Armando Colls has also photographed South Florida’s stunning natural landscapes since beginning his camera lens journey in 2011.
According to organizers, the open-air format makes art feel more approachable than your traditional gallery visit.
“Events like this celebrate creativity while supporting our local businesses and showcasing the energy, diversity and sense of community that make Doral such a special place,” Doral Mayor Christi Fraga said in a statement.
The festival, presented by Baptist Health, is organized by Momentum Marketing Group and made possible by partners including the City of Doral, Miami Regional University, Sanofi, Florida Blue, Neighbors 4 Neighbors and PAMM. It’ll run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 14 to 15, and entry is entirely free.
