It doesn’t get more Florida than this! It’s only a matter of time before the spooky season arrives, and one terrifying new experience is bringing live gators, airboat rides and swamp legends
after dark.
Only for one night on October 17, Everglades Alligator Farm will open its doors for a 90-minute experience taking on the stories and mysteries hidden deep within the Everglades. Themed after a prison break, the Homestead attraction takes inspiration from tales heard over the decades from a local jail just a few miles away.
What to expect at Gatorween: Prison Break
Not your typical haunted house, guests will be taken through an immersive story that unfolds throughout the night, beginning with up-close animal interactions. You’ll have the opportunity to meet some incredible reptiles like alligators and snakes, including exclusive access to the farm’s snake room.

Then, prepare to board a pitch-black airboat adventure to discover the glowing red eyes of nocturnal creatures lurking out in the wetlands. Back at the farm, a guided trail experience will unveil the rest of the storyline through eerie scenes, live actors, fog effects and unexpected moments along the way.
The adults-only event (18+) is aimed at those looking for unique plans this Halloween, getting to see the Everglades in a way they normally never get to see… at night!
Everglades Alligator Farm can be found at 40351 SW 192nd Ave, Homestead, FL. For more information and tickets, visit their website.
