We’re less than a year away from the 2026 FIFA World Cup as it makes its way to the Hard Rock Stadium for seven exhilarating matches! It’s the first time that three nations — the U.S., Canada and Mexico — host the 48-team tournament, making it the largest edition in FIFA history.
If you’re planning on attending, tickets are set to go on sale this month even though we still don’t know the full list of teams making up the field. And it certainly won’t be easy to secure them, as you’ll likely be competing with millions of fans around the globe for tickets. Anticipating high demand, the soccer organization announced that it will be releasing tickets in phases. Here’s what you need to know.
When can I get tickets for the 2026 World Cup?
Tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup will officially go on sale starting at 11 a.m. ET on September 10, 2025. However, the first phase will only be open to Visa cardholders in a “Visa Presale Draw,” in which you can enter a lottery for the chance to buy match tickets.
How do I enter the Visa Presale Draw for World Cup tickets?
To enter, applicants must first create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets. Then, log in to your account anytime between September 10 and 19 to complete an application form using a Visa Credit, Visa Debit or reloadable Visa Prepaid card. Winners will be selected in a random draw and notified by email no earlier than September 30, with a dedicated time slot to purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
The presale draw entry period will close at 11 a.m. ET on September 19.
How much will tickets cost?
According to FIFA, tickets during the Visa presale will begin at $60, while the most exclusive seats will reach up to $6,730 for the final in New Jersey.
Can I still buy tickets after the Visa Presale Draw?
Yes, you’ll have more opportunities to purchase tickets in future phases after the draw (or if you’re not a Visa cardholder). Beginning in October, you’ll have the following chances:
- Phase 2: Early Ticket Draw, with the registration period expected to take place from October 27 to 31 and time slots for purchase from mid-November to early December. Like the first phase, this will consist of an application, followed by a randomized selection process. Successful applicants will receive a time slot to purchase tickets.
- Phase 3: Random Selection Draw, with registration opening shortly after the Final Draw for the FIFA World Cup 26. In this phase, fans will be able to submit applications for specific matches after the final draw has revealed most of the group-stage matchups.
- Closer to the tournament, any remaining tickets will be released and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
