Local visual artist and photographer Jonathan Brooks is setting up a shop at Downtown Dadeland’s West Elm for one day only on Friday, June 18.
Following the success of his Mother’s Day popup, local artist Jonathan Brooks is returning to Downtown Dadeland’s West Elm with a colorful Pride-themed popup shop!
In honor of Pride Month, the artist will be showcasing his art inspired by Pride and its rainbow colors for one day only. Brooks will be offering some of his works on large and small canvases, but customers will also be able to special order other sizes of art from him in metal and acrylic.
An award-winning photographer, Brooks’ work has been previously exhibited in Miami, NYC, Amsterdam, France, Germany, Greece, Scotland, and the UK. Some of the most notable places in which his art has been displayed include Art Basel, the Louvre, and the biggest billboard in Times Square.
Brooks’ photographs have also been published in numerous magazines, journals, anthologies, and periodicals; and have been featured in major movies such as the Emmy-nominated short film series celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Endowment for the Arts — United States Of Art — as well as other television shows.
The popup art shop will open this Friday, June 18, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and, for one day only, guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and check out his latest work at West Elm in Downtown Dadeland!
