The secret’s out! Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will be opening in Miami next month and the exact location has just been revealed!
We’ve got some chisme for you! By now you’ve probably heard that a mesmerizing exhibition of Van Gogh’s masterpieces is coming to Miami this June. And a little birdy told us it will be taking place at The Olympia Theatre, Downtown Miami’s historic Performing Arts Center.
The Olympia Theatre, located at 174 E Flagler St, is an enchanting venue with an undeniable historic charm. First opened in 1926 as a silent movie palace, this charming Mediterranean courtyard has also operated as a Vaudeville theatre and concert hall throughout the decades, offering crowds a dreamlike escape from the modern world.
This June, the Olympia Theatre’s star-studded ceiling, golden balconies, and majestic architecture will be coming back to life with the equally iconic Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience. Just imagine Van Gogh’s works transforming from mere paintings into their own magical worlds right before your eyes at this already otherworldly and surreal space!
Created by the renowned European “edu-tainment” company Exhibition Hub, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience utilizes a unique combination of several dozen projectors, 15,000-square-foot screens, plus a separate high-tech VR adventure, to create a mind-bending 360° digital art experience.
Thanks to their cutting-edge video mapping process, which is only used by a few companies around the world, you’ll be immersed directly into the paintings themselves. And what better place in which to watch the vibrant colors and stunning brush strokes of Starry Night come to life than the jewel of South Florida arts and entertainment facilities!
