If you were looking forward to seeing Usher this weekend, you might have to wait until the holidays. The R&B legend was set to bring his “Past Present Future Tour” to Miami for a three-night run, but it has been rescheduled in the wake of Hurricane Milton, now a Category 3 storm inching its way towards Florida’s Gulf Coast.
The concerts were originally scheduled for this Friday, Oct. 11, Saturday, Oct. 12 and Monday, Oct. 14 at the Kaseya Center.
“My upcoming shows in Miami at Kaseya Center have been rescheduled for December due to the state of emergency in Florida,” Usher said in a statement posted to Instagram. “Everyone’s safety and well-being remain my top priority and I’d rather celebrate with you all at a time when you can get to and from the show safely. Praying for everyone affected by this natural disaster.”
“Florida, stay safe. I will see you soon,” he added in the caption.
The dates have been rescheduled as follows:
- October 11 rescheduled for December 16
- October 12 rescheduled for December 18
- October 14 rescheduled for December 19
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates, the Kaseya Center said in its own post.
Initially, Usher was due to play two nights in Miami, but a third show was added shortly after his tour announcement, citing “incredible fan demand.” For more details on Usher’s tour stops, visit his website.
Milton, described by forecasters as a storm that could be one of the worst to hit Florida in years, is predicted to make landfall Wednesday night at major hurricane strength. Regardless of where it hits, the storm is forecast to bring devastating storm surge, flash floods, destructive winds and possible tornadoes to much of the state.
