If you’ve spent any time on TikTok lately, you’ve likely come across a few videos of people experiencing “Twisters” in 4DX, looking like they’ve come straight out of a tornado.
And if you haven’t experienced the immersive thrill for yourself, don’t fret! The film is returning to 4DX for one week only, starting August 30. And it won’t be the only disaster film on the bill — 1996’s “Twister” is getting the same treatment, making for an epic double feature!
What is 4DX?
Unlike your average theater experience, 4DX practically puts you in the film with the help of special effects. You’ll sit in a motion-enabled seat that will move you along with every twist (see what we did there) and turn on the screen. And when a tornado comes into frame, you’ll be met with wind, rain, fog and scents perfectly synced with the film. Basically, you’ll be storm chasing alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell!
Which Florida theaters are screening “Twisters” in 4DX?
It’s no surprise the film is returning to the viral format after it made a whopping $2.1 million during opening weekend on just 4DX tickets alone. And if you were feeling some serious FOMO, there are a select number of theaters that will offer the 4DX experience beginning August 30. Seven of which are in Florida and one of which is Regal Kendall Village in Miami, making it possible for us to get in on all the fun!
