An exhilarating new ziplining experience is finally here and it’s putting your bravery to the test, sending you sailing over a tropical jungle while you take in the panoramic views of downtown and the bay!
Treetop Trekking Miami, located inside Jungle Island, spans six acres and is packed with three thrilling courses — the Explorer Trek, Thrill Seeker Trek and Discovery Course. Each is color-coded based on difficulty level and height, with the lowest at 3 feet and the highest at a bird’s eye view of 55 feet.
As you strap into a harness and soar above the lush jungle, you’ll encounter fun balance bridges, Tarzan swings, swimming logs, cable crossings and ziplines!
And the coolest part — you get to catch all the scenic views that come along with the experience! Be enchanted by the city skyline, Biscayne Bay, and even critters below you at Jungle Island like capybaras and lemurs.
This new year-round attraction is kid-friendly, so you can bring along the kiddos to soar through the trees! No previous experience is required either, so if you or your child are first timers, an expert guide will gladly show you the ropes. Once you’re strapped in and wearing a helmet, you’ll receive a safety orientation.
“We harmonize with nature so people can feel inspired and enjoy transformative experiences that heighten all the senses,” said Jean-François Couture, chief marketing officer of The Trekking Group, which operates the park. “After completing one of our adventure courses, you will have accomplished something, pushed your limits, and become a new version of yourself. In addition, you’ll leave with a very different perspective of Miami.”
Treetop Trekking Miami is located at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Watson Island. The park is open weekly, Friday to Monday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For tickets and additional info, you can head to their website here.
