Southern Florida will be under Tornado Watch until 11 p.m. Tuesday evening, National Weather Service says.
As tropical storm Elsa makes its way through the State of Florida, the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Southern Florida that will remain in effect until later this evening, authorities say.

This watch is applicable to the following counties including Miami-Dade: Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota and St. Lucie.
Under a tornado watch, NWS officials recommend being prepared and staying vigilant for tornadoes near the watch area.
