Can you hear the wedding bells? They must be nearby because WalletHub recently released its report on “Best Places to Get Married” and Miami ranked pretty high. In fact, three Florida cities made the Top 10!
After comparing 182 of the biggest U.S. cities across 26 key indicators of wedding-friendliness, from average cost to hotel availability, the results are in. Securing the top spot overall was the home of Disney World, Orlando. When it comes to the number of venues, party equipment rentals, DJs and flower shops, among others, the city is deemed top of the nation. Las Vegas, known to have lots to offer when it comes to weddings, followed in at No. 2.
Our Magic City, Miami, came in as the third most popular place to get married in, especially when it comes to beach weddings. It scored first for facilities and services, but did rank lower at 83rd for cost. By the way, the average cost of a wedding in the country is around $30,000!
Miami has an an abundance of choices for wedding vendors, ranking high for things like the number of venues, photo booth rentals, limousine services, cake shops and restaurants per capita, according to the study. The city also has excellent food choices.
Following behind Miami as the top 10 destinations came Tulsa, OK; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; New Orleans, LA; Knoxville, TN; Chicago, IL; and El Paso, TX.
