The witching hour is close at hand, soon the ghosts will come out to play, cackling witches will soar into the skies and ghoulish creatures will creep out from their lairs. Halloween is almost upon us and we’ve already started planning for the spookiest nights of them all.
From haunting candlelit concerts to historic ghost tours, check out some of the best Halloween events Miami has to offer this year:
1. Get your carve on at a local pumpkin patch
There’s nothing quite like a perfectly carved jack-o-lantern or getting the perfect fall photos to get you in the mood for the season. Traveling to a pumpkin patch is a quintessential fall activity and luckily there are plenty around Miami to choose from. We’ve put together a list of the best pumpkin patches to check out, with our favorites including:

2. Lose yourself in a corn maze at this Redlands farm
The Berry Farm has reopened for the fall season and it not only has an incredible pumpkin patch set up for its Harvest Festival, there’s a pretty spectacular 3-acre corn maze too! The farm is the perfect place to go and enjoy all kinds of fun activities, including hayrides, a rope course, sunflower field, live music and more. You’ll also find plenty of Halloween thrills with their Nightmare in the Redland haunted hayride experience or family-friendly Tricks & Treats event on Halloweekend.
3. Sit back and watch Halloween screenings at Rooftop Cinema Club
It’s time to snuggle up on a rooftop to horror favorites and cult classics like “Scream,” “Practical Magic,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “The Exorcist” and so much more. Miami Beach’s rooftop theater is hosting an array of wonderful screenings this season, all culminating with Rooftop Cinema Club’s Halloween Parties on October 31, where you can choose from the evening’s showings of Hocus Pocus or Halloween. Make sure to dress up in your best costume as there’ll be a contest and strike a pose inside their festive photo booth!
4. Go trick-or-treating around Lincoln Road
Bourbon Street has Mardi Gras, Duval Street has Fantasy Fest, and for Halloween, there is no better place to get your party on than Lincoln Road! On October 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., kids are invited to come dressed as their favorite characters to trick-or-treat along the promenade. At 7, Miami Beach’s biggest block party kicks off as all of Lincoln Road transforms into a vibrant catwalk decorated with costumed zombies, superheroes, vampires and more. There will also be live DJ performances.
5. Dance the night away at the HalloWYN Block Party
Miami’s largest Halloween block party is descending on Wynwood Marketplace for its 11th year, where you can join thousands of revelers for the ultimate ghoulish holiday experience. Taking place Halloween night, dance to the beat of Miami’s best DJs, enjoy spooky spirited concoctions and snap pics beside hauntingly creative backdrops at HalloWYN. Oh, and make sure to put on your best costume of course!
6. And head to any of these wickedly fun parties this Halloween
As Halloween arrives, so does the nightlife. There are so many parties going on this year, including rooftop parties to masquerade dinners. No matter what vibe you’re going for, we’ve got some of the best parties to let loose in this year. And the greatest part is you can make it to more than one, since many take place in the days leading up to Halloween or on the big day itself!
7. Face your fears at a haunted house
What’s Halloween without a visit to a spook-filled maze with ghoulish demons? There’s no better feeling than the adrenaline rush of a good scare while making your way through a dark space, and Miami has plenty of those. 9. Sip scary good cocktails and enjoy themed bites at Rumbar
Rumbar at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is playing host to a special new venture this Halloween – the House of Spells. Every day of October, from noon until the stroke of midnight, the bar will serve up bewitching libations conjured up by Miami’s own Gio Gutierrez, like Dracula’s Sangria and the Flantasma Halloween Old Fashioned, in addition to ghoulishly delightful bar bites like Deviled Eggs with a crab twist and Day of the Living Veg with roasted garlic hummus. The space will also be decorated to transport you into a haunting realm.
10. Snap a photo at CityPlace Doral’s annual Día de Los Muertos celebration
CityPlace Doral’s annual Day of The Dead – Día de Los Muertos – celebration is set to return this year and the shopping center will be vibrantly ornamented with calaveras, colorful papel picado, marigolds and more! The month-long activation, starting October, will recognize the Latin American tradition and bring the community together through a variety of activities like food sampling, performances by folkloric dancers and mariachis, and a WALLCAST Concert by New World Symphony, which will take place Nov. 2.
11. Enjoy more family-friendly activities at Miami Children’s Museum’s Halloween Week
Hosting nearly every Halloween activity you can imagine, Miami Children’s Museum is bringing spooktacular delights for Halloween Week. From October 27-31, everyone is invited to partake in STEAM experiments, create watercolor masterpieces in the Art Studio and enjoy sensory experiences in the Mad Scientist Lab. Then join in on trick-or-treating sessions throughout the day and watch the Theater Troupe’s original Halloween show!
12. Have Dinner With Dracula: A Virtual Murder Mystery Clue Chase
Looking for a haunting mystery party? Dinner With Dracula is a virtual murder mystery clue chase where you can either participate as one of the descendants of Dracula’s destroyers or a voyeur, one hundred years after his demise. The dinner party takes place in real-time as you work together with fellow dinner guests to find the partygoer who is seemingly transitioning into a vampire and either help them regain humanity or seal their fate… all before dessert! 13. Have a little liquid courage at Mango’s Tropical Café to face your Halloween fears
Swap the Halloween candy for delectable drinks at Mango’s Tropical Café in South Beach, which has lots in store for the season! All month, indulge in the enchanting glow of their ‘Trick or Treat’ cocktail; a blend of Midori Melon Liqueur, orange juice and lemon-lime soda; or ‘Zombie Mangos’; a bewitching concoction of Bacardi Superior Rum, Amaretto, orange juice, lime juice, simple syrup and grenadine.
14. Splash into the festivities at Tidal Cove
One of Miami’s most epic water parks, Tidal Cove, is hosting a day’s worth of Halloween activities on Sunday, October 29, from spooky cocktails and Halloween-inspired gelato to Trick or Treating around Tidal Cove and pumpkin painting. It will all end with a costume parade and contest. The fun will continue from 2 p.m. to close on October 30 through November 1 with kids and adults enjoying discounted admission to the park when wearing a costume.
