Florida’s first and only snow park, Snowcat Ridge, opened in Dade City in 2020, and it’s made a comeback for another snowy season in the Sunshine State this winter.
Yes, the drive up to Dade City is about four hours, but seeing as snow is an all-impossible phenomenon here in Florida don’t let that deter you from experiencing the cold weather and go snow tubing in the heart of our tropical state! This totally awesome snow park houses a massive snow tubing hill, a dazzling alpine village, and snow much more winter fun that you won’t want to miss out on….
The giant 60-foot tall, 400-foot long snow tubing hill features single, tandem and family-style snow tubing as well as a pair of conveyor lifts that will take you, your friends and family back up the hill in no time.

The Snowy Slopes tubing hill also features nightly music and light shows that you’ll be able to enjoy both from the slopes and Snowcat Ridge’s Alpine Village.
If you’re more of a build-a-snow-man kind of person you can always head over to the park’s Arctic Igloo. This giant snow globe features a play area with real snow in which you’ll be able to frolic, make snow angels and build snowmen to your heart’s content. The igloo also features a Bunny Slope, specially designed for the park’s youngest guests.

Meanwhile, Snowcat’s Alpine Village is perfect for some aprés-ski kind of relaxation while enjoying some warm drinks and bites after an adventurous day in the snow. The village features a variety of vendors offering hot & cold beverages, beer, wine, and food as well as those selling crafts and handmade gifts all throughout the holiday season.
Plus, they also offer an outdoor ice skating ribbon called the Crystal Ribbon. Lace up your skates and glide across the ice under Florida skies during the day and under the Snowy Slopes light show at night — the perfect wintery activity to finish off your day!

Snowcat Ridge is also bringing on its Eskimo Outpost for anyone looking to throw a snowy party. The attraction includes private igloos for up to 20 guests with festive indoor and outdoor seating, unlimited bottled water for all outpost guests and private fire pits perfect for roasting s’mores. Tell me this isn’t the perfect Christmas in Florida plan?
