Not even a nationwide snowstorm or the Miami Marathon could keep the ShipRockers away. The ShipRocked 2026 Cruise officially took over the Carnival Horizon for its biggest installment yet, proving once again why it’s one of the reigning heavyweight champion of music cruises.
With over 4,000 fans descending on the Port of Miami, the energy was electric from beginning to end. If you weren’t on board, here is exactly what you missed during six days of salt, sweat, and shredding.
Day 1: A “Savage” sailaway with Avatar & Starset

The party kicked off on the Deck Stage as Swedish metal icons Avatar triggered a massive headbanging session while Miami faded into the distance. Necks were broken, and spirits were high as the sun dipped below the horizon.
By nightfall, Starset delivered an ethereal, cinematic performance under the stars, while Holy Wars and Sleep Theory brought high-voltage energy to the theater.
The Vibe: The theme was “Wigs,” and the costumes ranged from the hilarious to the hair-raising.
Day 2: Moshing at sea with Knocked Loose & dancing to Awolnation

Day two was a masterclass in heavy-hitting talent. While Dead Poets Society kept the groove alive, Awolnation channeled pure Freddie Mercury energy on the Deck Stage.
The highlight? Knocked Loose. In a rare move, the band got the green light from Carnival for moshing and crowdsurfing. The result was pure beautiful chaos—a floating circle pit that ShipRockers won’t soon forget.
Day 3: Beach pits at Half Moon Cay & the roars of Kittie

The cruise hit the private sands of Half Moon Cay, where Shepherds Reign delivered a majestic, heavy set that blended Samoan culture with the blue waters of the Bahamas. Aurorawave kept the energy up with “reggaecore” circle pits… in the actual ocean.
Back on the ship, Kittie reminded everyone why they are legends. Morgan Lander’s guttural growls were unmatched, proving that 30 years later, the band is more “savage” than ever. The night peaked with Motionless In White’s first show of the year, featuring a crushing cover of Rammstein’s “Du Hast.”
Day 4: Celebration Key & All-Star Frat Party

ShipRocked was among the first to explore Carnival’s brand-new Celebration Key. After a day in the oasis, fans returned for The Stowaways—the legendary ShipRocked all-star band.
The theme was “Frat Party,” and the hits were non-stop. From Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley belting out “Shout” to Brandon Saller of Atreyu and Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. unleashing a joint cover of Papa Roach’s “Last Resort,” it was a nostalgic fever dream. The night ended with Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal shredding the Guns ‘N’ Roses classic “Paradise City” as the entire boat sang along.
Day 5: A Full Day At Sea With Final Sets From Motionless In White & More

Seadays are for meet-and-greets and final goodbyes. Heavy hitters like Suicidal Tendencies and From Ashes to New held court with fans before the final stage sets. Motionless In White took the Deck Stage for a second time, with frontman Chris Motionless sharing a heartfelt “thank you” to the ShipRocked family that left everyone feeling the love.
Day 6: Halestorm Joins The Fun In Nassau & A Sweaty Stowaways Finale

The grand finale arrived in Nassau as Halestorm boarded the ship. Lzzy Hale’s vocals were so powerful they likely rocked the neighboring cruise ships. They treated fans to new tracks from their album Everest, including “Fallen Star,” before paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a cover of “Perry Mason.”
As the weather turned, The Stowaways moved their final jam session to the intimate Ocean Plaza. What resulted was a sweaty, packed club show featuring covers of Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold and so many more. It was the perfect, gritty ending to a week of pure rock magic.
