Now that classes have resumed and students find themselves back on campus alongside their teachers, we’ve all got education on our minds. U.S. News & World Report has also released its 2026-27 rankings of the best high schools in the country, with Florida shining brightly among the nearly 18,000 ranked institutions.

The publication evaluated more than 27,000 public high schools across all 50 states, based on their performance on state-required tests, graduation rates and how well they prepare students for college. Here’s what the data says about Florida.

Which Florida high school ranks in the top 15 in the nation?

Landing at No. 13 nationally and No. 1 in all of the state is Pine View School in Osprey. It serves students in grades 2 through 12 with about 703 enrolled, and has a 100% graduation rate.

Here’s what U.S. News had to say about the school, which received an overall score of 99.93 out of 100:

“The curriculum at Pine View School mixes traditional classroom learning with independent study, mini-courses and ungraded classes. Pine View School places a strong emphasis on parent involvement through volunteering and fundraising opportunities, open houses, newsletters and field trips.”

“Students must maintain a minimum grade point average and complete advanced foreign language courses to graduate,” the description reads.

As far as rankings in the Sunshine State, several Miami schools actually placed among the top. Here is the full list of 10 top high schools in Florida:

1. Pine View School – Osprey, FL (No. 13 nationally)
2. Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST@FIU) – North Miami, FL (No. 31 nationally)
3. Neocity Academy – Kissimmee, FL (No. 35 nationally)
4. Archimedean Upper Conservatory Charter School – Miami, FL (No. 39 nationally)
5. West Shore Junior/Senior High School – Melbourne, FL (No. 47 nationally)
6. Jose Marti Mast 6-12 Academy – Hialeah, FL (No. 55 nationally)
7. Stanton College Preparatory School – Jacksonville, FL (No. 63 nationally)
8. Suncoast Community High School – Riviera Beach, FL (No. 81 nationally)
9. I Preparatory Academy – Miami, FL (No. 86 nationally)
10. Terra Environmental Research Institute – Miami, FL (No. 87 nationally)
