Once again, Christmas magic in the Magic City has a new home this winter and it’s bigger than ever. After just one season of bringing its shimmering lights and carnival rides to Hialeah, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is heading to a new space for this year’s opening on November 9.
The long-running carnival first got its start in Tropical Park, where it spent 36 years just before the pandemic hit. In 2021, it then moved to Hialeah Park. Now, the new Santa’s will be located on Northwest 87th Avenue and 74th Street, where Doral meets Medley, on a 40-acre lot. That’s larger than both Hialeah and Tropical parks!
The address for the new massive space listed on the attraction’s website reads 7500 NW 87th Avenue. There will be three entrances to the park and expansive parking.
Organizers are being tight-lipped about what to expect when it comes to new additions like rides and themed decor, but you can still expect everything that makes the holiday classic an absolute must when it comes to South Florida holiday traditions considering we get zero snowfall. We’re talking amusement rides, carnival games, food vendors, spectacular shows, and (of course) photo ops with Santa Claus in swim trunks. This is Miami, after all.
Maybe this will be the park’s forever home. For now, it’s unclear if this is a temporary or permanent move.
Santa’s will be opening at the new location the second week of November on Wednesday, November 9, and will remain open throughout the season until Sunday, January 8, 2023. The park will hold regular hours from 5 p.m. to midnight every day (it’s important to note that the park may close at 1:30 a.m. on busy nights and weekends) and will be open during all holidays.
