The open-air Rooftop Cinema Club is gearing up to welcome audiences in the heart of South Beach on June 2. Kicking off with a nighttime screening of Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles’ “10 Things I Hate About You” atop 1212 Lincoln Road, a slew of familiar classics and modern-day favorites will follow in the venue’s first month from “Pulp Fiction” to “Love & Basketball.” Here’s a full list of showtimes.
For now, all viewings are set past 6 p.m. and restricted to guests 18 and older. There are three seating options to choose from: A single Adirondack chair, single lounge seat and love seat that fits two (perfect for date night). Everyone will receive wireless headphones to ensure the volume is just right. It’s also a great way to avoid missing any key plot line in case someone chews their popcorn too loudly.
Yes, classic movie bites from fresh popcorn to pizza will be available for guests. In addition, the venue is featuring a bar with cold craft beer, wine and specialty cocktails to choose from. There will be lawn games to enjoy together with a decorative floral wall for Instagram selfies before the movie. As if the backdrop of the city skyline isn’t enough!
Florida marks Rooftop Cinema Club’s ninth location, which includes drive-in and rooftop theaters in London, Los Angeles, New York City, Houston and San Diego. Like in other cities, the Club will also curate monthly programming like think talks, sing-alongs and special screenings here in the 305.
You can find Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach at 1212 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For tickets and more information, visit their website here.
