Joining the ever-growing list of hidden cocktail spots throughout Miami, Romeo Room is officially welcoming guests in the heart of Coral Gables.
The sophisticated lounge doubling as a music venue can be found atop Babette, a neighborhood newcomer serving Mediterranean-French-Spanish cuisine by Chef Dani Chavez-Bello and wife Alexandra Oliveros Febres-Cordero. It is described as the “romantic spiritual sister” to the couple’s culinary love letter downstairs.
Accessed by a dramatic spiral staircase, the intimate speakeasy can only be found by those in the know. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted with velvet whimsy and Old World charm, as the design seamlessly blends the grace of a Victorian tea room with the intrigue of a modern hideaway. It’s perfect for late-night carousing, drinks with friends and unwinding to live entertainment.

From a rotating selection of small plates like croquetas de jamón with osetra caviar and carved-to-order ibérico cinco jotas, to thoughtfully crafted cocktails, there is something for everyone. Bar highlights include Estrella Damm (an homage to Chef Dani’s time with Ferran Adrià), a selection of Japanese whiskies, and Nordés Gin.
Weekly programming

Romeo Room opens Wednesdays through Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Debuting a series of intimate weekly happenings, there will be Sake & DJ Wednesdays, where a curated sake selection meets and eclectic DJ set, as well as Live Music Thursdays with spontaneous jam sessions.
