Record Store Day (RSD) is the only time of year where thousands of independent record shops and music enthusiasts come together to keep vinyl culture alive. This year’s celebration falls on Saturday, April 18, and you can expect plenty of releases made exclusively for the occasion, from eco-friendly “Bio-Vinyl” pressings to coveted pop variants.
Among the over 350 exclusive vinyl hitting shelves is Collaborations by Bruno Mars, who is leading the charge this year as Global Ambassador. Limited to just 11,000 copies globally, this compilation album features hits alongside other artists like Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga, ROSÉ and more.
What kinds of records can I expect to find on RSD?
Let’s just say there’s a lot to dig through! Several highlights of this year’s releases include a 25th-anniversary remaster of Acoustic Hits by The Cure, lo-fi renditions of Bring Me The Horizon’s catalog with Lo-Files, the first repress of Pavement’s Perfect Sound Forever EP, two limited-edition versions of the K-Pop: Demon Hunters soundtrack and a 7-inch single for Elizabeth Taylor by Taylor Swift.
Other incredible finds on Record Store Day include The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Paramore, Charli XCX, George Harrison, Ethel Cain, Sleep Token, Jeff Buckley, Anderson .Paak, David Bowie, PinkPantheress and more. Find a full list here.
We recommend calling your store in advance (and checking their social media) to check if they’ll have the vinyl you’re after. As you can imagine, some will be more popular than others so you can expect them to go fast! Plus, each store will vary in stock.

What if I miss out on RSD?
If you can’t make it on the actual day — or perhaps you miss out on that specific record you wanted to get your hands on — don’t worry! You can find remaining stock the following day, and since stores are forbidden from selling any of their exclusive stock online the day of, you should look out on Sunday and Monday for any leftover items to go on sale.
Happy Record Store Day, Miami!
