Calling all Phoebe Bridgers fans! Six years after the release of her breakout album, Punisher, the singer-songwriter has announced special listening parties across 40 planetariums for her upcoming solo project, Lost Weekend. And yes, that includes Miami!
In partnership with Spotify, these listening sessions across the U.S., Europe, Australia and New Zealand will take attendees through the 16-track album with one of two original visual presentations: a custom dome show designed by night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi or an immersive laser show by Laser Fantasy.
Like her upcoming arena tour, every screening will be phone-free, with phones, smartwatches and other glowing devices secured in Yondr pouches that guests keep with them for the duration of the event.
When and where will the Miami planetarium listening party take place?
As you might’ve already guessed, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in downtown Miami is one of the participating venues! On Friday, August 14 at 7 p.m., fans will get to experience the new music while immersed under the museum’s 67-foot wide planetarium dome.
UPDATE: The 7 p.m. screening has sold out, but an 8 p.m. show has been added. You can find it here.
How to get tickets
Tickets to Miami’s listening party are currently on sale via the official event page. You’ll want to act fast because they’re sure to sell out quickly!
It should be noted that these are listening events only and not performances; Bridgers will not be in attendance. Frost Science is located at 1101 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132.
