A project that’s been years in the making is finally opening this weekend. Brickell is now home to a new food hall that looks like it’s taking things to the next level.
Described as a “food-driven dining and entertainment destination,” Okeydokey is an exciting food hall boasting deliciously tempting eats, drinks and beats all under the same roof. But it’s not like your usual fast-casual concept.
The three-story space features several vendors serving up both food and booze from cuisines across the globe. It spans 15,000 square feet of indoor space and 3,000 square feet of outdoor space, seating a little over 300 guests. The urban, retro interior houses five full-service kitchens on the first floor, one full-service kitchen on the second floor and three bars.
Much like a restaurant, a hostess will greet every party entering Okeydokey and lead them to a table on the first or second floor. Then, guests will scan a QR code and make selections from any of the restaurant concepts, and will be assisted by a dedicated server.
With six vendors on site, you can enjoy everything from rotisserie chicken to brisket burgers, vegan ramen, baba ganoush and beyond!
If it’s Italian food you’re after, then make sure you set your eyes on Dal Plin, where you can get classic dishes such as the Fettuccine Carbonara, the Eggplant Parmigiana, and a collection of hand-tossed Pizzas featuring the classic Margarita Pizza and the Quattro Formaggi.
For delicious ramen, poke and boba, choose Yoso Ramen – a Japanese restaurant created by Chefs Deniz and Chef Khristian, who love incorporating inspiration from their travels into their dishes.
For the early risers who need their coffee fix, Coffee Break will be open at 8 a.m. to serve breakfast and pastries along with teas and freshly pressed juices. Located on the second floor, you’ll find items such as artisanal coffee, croissants, fresh baked pies and empanadas.
Other restaurants serving up their unique menus at Okeydokey are Little Bird, MAC and JAFFA.
“We are excited to finally bring this concept to life,” said Stephane Benkemoun, co-founder and CEO of Okeydokey. “Okeydokey is the place where good food meets good drinks and entertainment. This concept is about accepting the eclectic nature of today’s society to come as you are in a warm, welcoming and memorable environment.”
A second phase will include the opening of Okeydokey’s third, exclusive floor, only open to those aged 21 and over. This floor will include an extensive cocktail program and nightly entertainment featuring live music, DJs and more.
From the cocktail program, signature drinks include Freshly Squeezed, a light, refreshing cocktail with Haku Vodka, St. Germain and fresh strawberries; Sun’s Out, Buns Out, an Old Fashioned with Suntory Whisky, canton ginger, cinnamon and orange bitters; and the Bye Fe-Lychee!, a tiki-style cocktail with Casa Noble Reposado, sake, lychee puree, mint and grapefruit juice.
You can find Okeydokey at 268 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33130. The location will open Friday, April 28, and be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Coffee Break will begin serving breakfast at 8 a.m. daily. And given that this is Secret Miami, we’re here to tell you that they already have big plans after the opening, such as the addition of a hidden outdoor patio bar, which you can expect to see soon!
