Calling all Buc-ee’s lovers in the state of Florida! The mega-gas station known for its glorious Beaver Nuggets and spotless bathrooms has announced four upcoming locations, bringing the Sunshine State’s total up to six.
The move is a part of a national expansion for the chain across Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Kansas, Louisiana and more. But the real question is will the Beaver finally arrive in South Florida?
Well, not exactly. We’re getting closer, but you’re still going to have to hit I-95 or I-75 to get your hands on smoked brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Here’s which cities the new locations are headed to so that you can plan your road trip accordingly!
Which Buc-ee’s stores are opening in Florida?
Right now, the Texas-based company has just two locations in Daytona Beach and St. Augustine. But by 2029, the following destinations will give road-trippers a reason to stop by:
- Fort Pierce (2027) – set to be Florida’s largest with 120 gas pumps and 800 parking spaces
- Tallahassee (2027) – the Panhandle’s first location
- Ocala (2029) – originally planned for a 2028 opening before being located on a new I-75 interchange
- Port Charlotte (2029) – Southwest Florida’s first outpost along the Gulf Coast
Which is the closest to South Florida?
For those of us in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties feeling a bit left out, the Fort Pierce location is our best bet. It will be situated at I-95 and Indrio Road, about an hour north of West Palm Beach.
Since each Buc-ee’s location requires a considerably large amount of land to build a store, over 100 gas pumps and enough parking to accommodate hundreds of cars, we don’t know if we’ll see any South Florida announcements anytime soon. But one can only dream!
