Sex is far from taboo at this new Miami museum! Open minutes from the Wynwood arts district inside a massive 32,000 square-foot converted warehouse, the Museum of Sex explores human sexuality through science, history, and art.
Designed to encourage public enlightenment, dialogue, and engagement, the Museum of Sex creatively investigates the evolution of human desire. From fine art to interactive carnival games, Miami’s sex-positive museum showcases different perspectives on sexuality through a series of engrossing exhibits.

The Museum of Sex first made waves with its top-ranked NYC location before expanding to South Florida. Described as “the institution’s most ambitious undertaking yet,” the epic Miami attraction features an award-winning retail shop, full-service bar with craft cocktails, and three large exhibitions:
Modern Sex: 100 Years of Design and Decency contains a vast selection of objects, archival materials, and media ranging from the 1920s to the present. From outdated “feminine hygiene” products to self-help books, the curated collection examines how perspectives on sexual health and wellness have evolved over the last 100 years.
Hajime Sorayama: Desire Machines invites visitors to discover the Japanese artist’s “Sexy Robot” sculptures and paintings, which toe the line between realism and fantasy. As the division between our physical and virtual worlds grows increasingly hazy, the exhibition presents an opportunity to reflect upon themes of sexual agency, objectification, and intimacy in this digital era.

Super Funland: Journey Into the Erotic Carnival is a permanent exhibit filled with numerous creatively designed installations. Inspired by the decadent carnal origins of the carnival in ancient Greece and Rome, the vibrant exhibit features dazzling installations and games that play on sexual thrills, humor, and decadence. Did we mention there’s a live mermaid show AND a mechanical bull?
Miami’s Museum of Sex is open at 2200 NW 24th Avenue, combining entertainment and education into an unmissable attraction. Admission is restricted to those ages 18 and older, and tickets begin at $29.
