Signs of the Times
Miami-based cultural storyteller WEERDO presents a solo exhibition that turns graffiti into a symbol of cultural pride. This new mixed media oeuvre confronts themes of migration, resistance and the power of Mexican identity. The collection features street signs, objects that were once used to control, now turned into a “bold declaration of pride and protest.” You’ll also find an on-site installation that — along with the rest of WEERDO’s body of work — ”offers a counter-story one rooted in sacrifice, culture, and unrelenting presence.” (Curator Alan Ket)
