It was four years ago when the Michelin Guide first arrived in Florida to review the dining scenes in Miami, Orlando and Tampa. And in 2025, the prestigious culinary award added three more destinations: Fort Lauderdale, The Palm Beaches and St. Pete-Clearwater.
Now, Michelin has announced its expansion across the entire state, considering spots from the Panhandle all the way down to Key West. During a livestreamed ceremony on Thursday, the guide revealed its latest selections, including a total of 26 starred restaurants.
Notable recognitions
Despite the wider casting net, Michelin awarded two new stars in South Florida. Both are in the One-Star category, which signifies “high-quality cooking, worth a stop”:
- Emelina in West Palm Beach – Cuban fine dining
- Mutra in North Miami – Middle Eastern cuisine and only kosher eatery to hold the distinction
The guide added 10 new restaurants to its Bib Gourmand list — from St. Augustine’s Sunday to Key West’s Moondog Cafe — bringing the state’s total to 45. This distinction goes towards restaurants offering quality food at a good value.
Additionally, Tampa’s Fat Beet Farm Kitchen and Bakery was given a Green Star for leading the way in sustainable gastronomy.
