Sure, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the study pulled together several metrics to find out which skylines are really the most admired. This included detailed skyscraper data (such as building height, construction date and location), city-level brightness, the number of Pinterest pins related to each skyline and counts of Flickr images.

What the study says about the Magic City
With a score of 9.44/10 for skyline beauty, the study noted that Miami holds a solid aesthetic presence online, recording 14,639 total Pinterest pins. This reflects its status as a “glamorous, photogenic destination.”
While the city has a lower volume of high-rises compared to New York and Chicago, the analysis added that it still “commands a striking presence.” Why? Because Miami boasts the tallest average skyline height in the top 10, measuring at a staggering 152.54 meters!
