Miami bookworms, get those tote bags ready! The longest-running literary festival in the U.S., the Miami Book Fair, returns this month with an array of publishers, booksellers, panels, food, live music and more to feed the literary appetite of locals. Slated for an eight-day return, the 42nd edition of the festival will feature over 550 authors from 35 countries across six continents.

From emerging voices to household literary names, the lineup is brimming with talent, including #1 bestselling novelist Daniel Silva, country music star Kenny Chesney, author and TV host Padma Lakshmi, Pulitzer Prize-winning artist Art Spiegelman and MacArthur Fellow Edwidge Danticat. They’ll be joined by acclaimed authors such as Carl Hiaasen, Susan Choi, Nnedi Okorafor and Karen Russell, spanning genres from fiction and poetry to comics and photography.
📚 What to expect this year
- Opening Day Block Party (November 16): A free, high-energy street party to kick off the festivities with books, beats and bites.
- “Evenings With…” Series (November 16-23): Lively conversations with cultural icons and literary powerhouses like Daniel Silva, Kenny Chesney and more.
- Lost Chapter Rooftop Lounge (November 17–21): A nightly rooftop experience with local DJs, cocktails and mocktails, plus bites from Smorgasburg Miami pop-ups.
- Street Fair (November 21-23): A sprawling outdoor fair where you can browse and buy literary-related items and artisan crafts, in addition to live music and food vendors.
- Children’s Alley (November 21-23): A wonderland of storytelling, puppetry, theater and hands-on fun for the youngest of readers.
- The Next Page Dinner (November 21): A signature benefit dinner where guests can dine with notable writers like Dave Barry, Edwidge Danticat and Imani Perry.

The fair continues its mission to celebrating diversity and connecting communities through the power of stories, with dedicated programming highlighting Hispanic, Haitian, Black, LGBTQ+ and emerging voices.
📚 Timings and location
The Miami Book Fair will be held from November 16 to 23 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, 300 NE Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132.

Streets around the campus will be closed, so use 145 NE Fifth St. to map your driving route. Free parking will also be available at the MDC Wolfson Campus Parking Garage, 500 NE Second Ave, for the duration of the festival.
