If Miami’s endless amount of incredible bars isn’t enough to get you through the door, their growing presence on esteemed award lists surely will. The 2026 ranking for 50 Best Bars in North America has been released, and the city is home to not just one, but TWO stellar bars on the continent!
The 1-50 list was announced at a live awards ceremony in Vancouver Wednesday night, celebrating the very best of the region’s cocktail industry. It’s put together by votes from more than 300 drinks industry experts across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Each academy member casts seven votes based on their bar visits from the previous 18 months.
“The bars on this year’s list are exemplary in their ability to push boundaries and influence hospitality not only in North America, but across the globe,” said Emma Sleight, head of content for North America’s 50 Best Bars. “From established leaders to exciting new entries, the bars featured continue to push the standard of what a world-class drinks experience can be with their talent, creativity and resilience.”
Which Miami bars ranked among North America’s 50 Best?
Both bars, highlighted for their craft cocktails and vibrant atmospheres, are Cafe La Trova at No. 42 and ViceVersa Miami at No. 46. You may recall Cafe La Trova from last year’s ranking, while ViceVersa just cracked the list for the first time! The bar joined as a new entry, 10 spots up from its previous position at No. 56.

Located in downtown Miami, ViceVersa is a sleek hotspot blending the city’s modern edge with Italian futurism. It focuses on the “Polibibita” philosophy, serving up inventive cocktails built on surprising, contrasting flavors. Highlights include the Little Tonico (white port, elderflower liqueur, sherry, olive brine, Mediterranean tonic) and Forza! (bourbon, bergamot, vermouth, blackcurrant), perfect to pair with the venue’s raw seafood bar and standout pizzas!
Over in Calle Ocho, Cafe La Trova is a celebration of Cuban culture and cantinero-style hospitality, where dapper mixologists elegantly “throw” daiquiris through the air to the infectious rhythm of live Son Cubano music. Here, rum-forward cocktails like the Hotel Nacional and Daiquiri Clásico are standouts alongside mouthwatering bites by acclaimed Chef Michelle Bernstein.
