It’s about to be a busy Miami Art Week, with numerous art fairs, artists and visitors from all over the globe flocking to the city. But as you check out galleries by day, there’s plenty of late-night parties having you covered by night.
Following a successful 10-year anniversary celebration, Miami’s OG taco shop and speakeasy is welcoming back Major Lazer for a performance that will not only have you vibing in the crowd, but supporting hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica.
The multi-platinum group will celebrate their newest mixtape, ‘Gyalgebra,’ with a release party right in the parking lot of Coyo Taco’s Wynwood outpost. The project marks a new chapter for the crew — made up of Diplo, Walshy Fire, Ape Drums and America Foster — as it is their first full body of work in five years and the first with the addition of their fourth member.

As the Caribbean nation deals with the devastating impacts of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, all proceeds from the party and onsite merch will be donated to American Friends of Jamaica Disaster Relief Fund. Tickets will be sold at the door for $20 per person, and you can RSVP in advance here.
From tacos to quesadillas, tasty grub is to be expected, in addition to specialty Major Lazer Gyalgebra cocktails ($12) that will also benefit the disaster relief fund.

The cause holds personal significance for both the group and taco spot, as Jamaican-American DJ Walshy Fire shared in a press release: “We held a similar party for Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria and we had a lot of incredible artists pull up… we hope word gets out and hope music industry comes out and support.”
Coyo Taco Co-Founder Sven Vogtland, who is also half Jamaican, is thrilled about the collaboration, adding, “This event with Major Lazer means more than just music, it’s a chance to uplift the communities that shaped me…when we celebrate our culture, we also invest in its future.”
