Check out Kojin at KURA, the sultry new speakeasy that’s opening this week at Little River’s Hachidori!
We’re back on secret revealing duty here at Secret Miami with a new secret spot tucked away in Little River! Kojin at KURA, Miami’s newest speakeasy is opening this Tuesday, June 22, and it features plenty of sake, sake cocktails, wine, and beer!
Tucked away in Hachidori, one of Miami’s best ramen spots, this swanky new drinking den features a 14-seat bar along with a couple of couches for an intimate and exclusive experience. To find the new speakeasy, all you need to do is walk to the back of Hachidori and you’ll find it hidden behind a mysterious black curtain in the dining room.
A sake bar meets wine bar, KURA will be offering a wide variety of sake, wine and beer as well as specialty cocktails carefully curated by local mixologist Gio Gutierrez of ChatChowTV.
To go along with its sake selection, KURA is also welcoming Kojin as its first food pop-up. Inspired by Washoku (traditional) cuisine, Kojin will offer a variety of small plates created by resident chef Pedro Mederos, who most recently opened innovative and uber-popular E&P Dumplings in South Miami. On Kojin’s menu, you’ll find a selection of dishes ranging from raw bites and salads to hot plates that perfectly complement the drinks menu along with hand-crafted desserts by pastry chef Katherine Randolph.
With cherry blossom accents, parasols and an extensive sake menu this dimly lit spot will transport you to Japan in just one sip! And the small intimate space means that you’ll be able to see your food and drinks come together right before your eyes, adding a casual vibe to this sultry speakeasy.
Kojin at KURA will be open starting this Tuesday, June 22, through to mid-September, Tuesdays through Thursdays from 12 to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 12 p.m. Walk-ins will be accepted from noon through to 5 p.m. after which reservations will be required.
