South Florida doesn’t exactly come to mind when thinking of a “winter wonderland.” There’s plenty to do if you’re looking for sun and sweat, not so much skiing and snow tubing. But at least we can lace up our ice skates! And until recently, we can hop into bumper cars… on ice!
Unlike traditional amusement park bumper cars, ice bumper cars run on a slippery surface, making it easier to bump into all of the other cars that are around. At Boca Ice, Boca Raton’s newest 73,000 square-foot indoor recreational facility, you can hop into your own bumper car and glide, slide and spin around an ice rink, any day of the week.
As you zoom around, the lit up cars have lasers which can be used to “shoot opponents” and make them spin uncontrollably! It’s simply a blast whether you’re with family, friends, a date, co-workers — just anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind activity to enjoy!
To ride them, you have to be at least six years old and and at least 48 inches tall. Children between the ages of 3 and 5 can ride on the lap of an adult rider. Each ride lasts approximately 6 minutes. Only one rider is allowed per car and the cost for each person is $10.
When you’re finished with the super cool activity, you can skate on Boca Ice’s other ice rink. Oh, and hit up their indoor ski slope.
Bundle up and start your thrilling winter adventure on bumper cars on ice at Boca Ice & Fine Arts Center, located at 900 Peninsula Corp Cir, Boca Raton, FL 33487, just off I-95 and Congress Avenue exit. For more information, click here to visit their website.
