Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen fans rejoice because you’ll soon be able to dig into Gordon Ramsay’s scrumptious dishes right here in Miami! The celebrity chef recently announced that he’ll be opening his first-ever Miami restaurant in SoFi’s Miami Beach’s up-and-coming neighborhood. The chosen concept? ‘Lucky Cat,’ Ramsay’s Asian-inspired restaurant.
Inspired by 1930s Tokyo kissas and Shanghai drinking dens, Ramsay first opened Lucky Cat in Mayfair, London back in 2019, making Miami Beach’s new location the first one to open outside of the UK.
This dark and mysterious restaurant will offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in its Asian Eating House theme and vibe, where they’ll be able to delight in a large variety of dishes that take a cue from various Asian regions.
At Lucky Cat, you’ll be able to sample a bit of everything all the way from the passion and culinary traditions from sushi and sashimi, buns and dumplings, tempura specialties, to skewers and a variety of exciting fish and meat entrees, robata grilled dishes, as well as a variety of small plates and creative bar snacks.
Ramsay, who has praised the Magic City for having one of “the most vibrant restaurant scenes anywhere in America,” told Forbes he thought of Lucky Cat as the most fitting of his concepts for South Beach.
“I am so excited to bring Lucky Cat to Miami, and I can’t wait for guests to taste and see everything this fun and vibrant restaurant has to offer,” said Gordon Ramsay.
The new 9,000-square-foot space will feature an open kitchen, a raw bar and a chef’s table, as well as a vibey late-night lounge in true Miami Beach fashion.
Opening in the fall of 2022, Ramsay’s Lucky Cat isn’t his only U.S. venture. With 33 international restaurants (7 of which are Michelin-starred), the chef also has Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Gordon Ramsay Burger, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Gordon Ramsay Steak, and Hell’s Kitchen locations in cities like Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and will also be opening his first Ramsay’s Kitchen location in Boston.
But if you don’t feel like making your way up all the way to New England, you could always take a shorter trip to Orlando where Chef Ramsay will soon be opening a new location of his ‘Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips’ later next month and get a little taste of what’s to come!
