It’s always a guaranteed good time at Downtown Miami’s contemporary art museum, whether you’re basking in their captivating art or engaging with the local community at an event. Lucky for us, PAMM is bringing back its free Floating Films Series in collaboration with Ballyhoo Media for yet another unique experience to join in on!
Name something better than catching a free movie on a 60-foot floating screen as the weather begins to cool. That’s right, you can’t. From October to December, three films are screening right from the water so you want to make sure you take note of these unmissable showings!
Thursday, October 6 is the first night where you’ll be able to sing along to the Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jon M. Chu musical “In the Heights,” in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. You’re welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Plus, food and drinks will be sold on site.
Also on the screening lineup are “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am” on November 3 (in light of National Novel Writing Month) and “The Holiday” on December 22 (’tis the season!).
Films will screen at 6 p.m., with happy hour offered at Verde, PAMM’s sleek casual restaurant, from 5 to 8 p.m. You can also expect live music by their local music series powered by Backroom Sessions from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
