Pickleball courts aren’t the first thing you’d expect to see when looking out at the water, but Fort Lauderdale isn’t going about things the conventional way. The newly revitalized Pier Sixty-Six has teamed up with Absolut Elyx to debut the area’s first floating pickleball court, where you have the chance to show off your skills out on the marina!
Available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., the all-new court will float against a backdrop of the largest marina on the Eastern Seaboard.
Locals, residents and hotel guests alike can get their game on with one-hour rentals for up to four people. Reservations include pickleball equipment and a complimentary bottled water and chilled oshibori towel per guest.
When signing up, a waiver is required to play and guests 13 and older may participate without supervision, while 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Players can also round out their experience with a stop by The Elyx Lounge at the Sotogrande Patio for some pre- or post-match cocktails alongside tasty bites.
Whether you’re looking to pick up a new hobby or have been a champ for years and want to try something different that involves Intracoastal Waterway views, this is the perfect spot to smack some pickleballs! You can learn more and book a slot on ResortPass.
