It’s another proud moment for the Florida Panthers, who have secured their second straight Stanley Cup against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night.
The Cats put on a strong performance at the Amerant Bank Arena during Game 6 of the final and ultimately won 5-1, securing their second championship in franchise history.
The win not only earns the Panthers the 2025 championship title, but also makes them the 10th franchise in NHL history to achieve back-to-back titles! They join legendary teams Pittsburgh Penguins and fellow Floridians Tampa Bay Lightning, who have also achieved the feat.
As if that wasn’t enough, the Panthers are also the seventh NHL franchise to win their first two Stanley Cups on home ice. Way to go!
With this historic win, the celebration is sure to continue with a championship parade through the streets of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Although details on that are still TBD, so you can check back for updates.
Could an Elbo Room visit and a trophy dip in the ocean also be in the works, like last year?
