With Pi Day coming up on March 14th (or 3/14), you bet we’re ready to get pie crazy. And pie master Derek Kaplan alongside the team behind the city’s favorite pie emporium, Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop, are whipping up a delectable deal for the mathematical holiday!
Available all-day Thursday, sweet seekers can score a slice of the shop’s iconic Key Lime Pie for just $3.14 per slice. The dessert is described as a smooth balance of sweet and tart on a graham cracker crust made from fresh, hand-squeezed key limes. And it’s so good, it has been voted “Miami’s Best Key Lime Pie” by the Miami New Times.
The one-day promotion will be exclusive to in-store purchases and available while supplies last. Fireman Derek’s currently has a couple of outposts in South Florida, including Wynwood, Coconut Grove and Fort Lauderdale.
Aside from its famous key lime, other bake shop staples worth savoring include Pecan Pie, Guavaberry Pie, Salted Caramel Pie, Carrot Cake and Red Velvet Cheesecake. Everything is said to be baked in-house, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
