The world’s most anticipated sporting event is touching down in Miami next summer, and securing a spot at the Hard Rock Stadium is about to be the hottest ticket in town. Attracting hundreds of millions of fans worldwide, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and the third round of ticket sales are underway.
This phase of tickets, a Random Selection Draw, is slightly different from the others because it’s the first time fans know exactly which fixtures, venues and more will take part, as the full match schedule has finally been revealed. Here’s everything you need to know to get a shot at tickets:
How to apply to the Random Selection Draw
The application window for this phase of ticket sales opens today, December 11, and will close on January 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET. Applications must be submitted through FIFA.com/tickets and you’ll need a FIFA ID to enter. You must also be 18 years old or older to participate.
Because this is a Random Selection Draw, you don’t need to rush during the entry period. FIFA said that the time you enter during the application doesn’t affect your chances of success.
What can I apply for?
Now that group stage teams and locations are known, fans can select their match, respective ticket category and the number of tickets per match they wish to purchase. Keep in mind that you will be giving your credit card information, so in the case you are one of the lucky ones that are randomly selected, you will be charged.
How do I know if I’ve been selected?
Successful and partially successful applicants will be notified through email and automatically charged for their tickets in February of next year. A partially successful application means that a fan will receive the number of tickets requested to a match, but not all matches requested.
Additionally, fans of specific national teams may also be eligible to apply for Participating Member Association (PMA) supporter tickets starting today, if they meet their PMA’s criteria.
