If you have a sweet tooth, this festival is for you! Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is once again opening its doors for the annual Festival of Chocolate on Saturday (Jan. 20) and Sunday (Jan. 21). Marking its 17th year, the sweet event will bring together chocolate makers and lovers for a weekend dedicated to the mouthwatering treat in all its forms.
Everyone is invited to taste their way through decadent desserts, sip on chocolate-themed drinks, learn something new through cooking demos, pick up goodies from artisanal vendors and more.
From a build-your-own chocolate bar station to delicious bourbon and chocolate pairings, your tastebuds are sure to be delighted!
More than 15 chocolatiers will set up shop at the festival including Club Chokolate, Garcia Nevett, OMG Brigadeiros, Kakaozon Chocolate and Castronovo Chocolate. There will be plenty of food vendors to choose from as well, from Crepemaker to Ceviche & Guacamole.
The family-friendly celebration will also feature live performances by the Anama Trio and Bryan Trio, while DJ Brandon Segree leads a Bubble Dance Party at the top of every hour. The little ones can hop aboard the Chocolate Express and even compete in the Chocolate Olympics for a chance to win a Golden Ticket and create their very own chocolate bar! Games include cacao sack and spoon balance races, and a donut toss.
If you can’t wait to indulge your senses in all things sweet, Fairchild’s popular light spectacular, NightGarden, is running for just a couple more weeks. Get tickets now while it’s still here!
