An exciting beer celebration is brewing this Saturday and it’s known as one of the largest gatherings of women in the brewing biz. Let’s cheers to that!
The annual festival, cleverly named FemAle Brew Fest, is open for ALL beer lovers (yes, men are included). They aim to highlight women in beer and provide a platform for them to showcase their craft — all while offering opportunities to taste the different types of beers brewed by them. The tasty celebration enters its 5th year this weekend and makes its return to Fort Lauderdale’s Kimpton Goodland Hotel.
Founded by local entrepreneur Frances Antonio-Martineau, this celebration is filled with more than 35 local and national vendors, an artisan marketplace, hands-on courses and several activities including a yoga class for those wanting to flow into their day.
There are even unlimited beer samplings from about 30 brands including Islamorada Beer Company and Tarpon River Brewing included with your tickets. And, of course, no celebration is complete without music, so sounds by DJ LaTrice Perry is expected to go on throughout the event for you can get down once the buzz kicks in.
It seriously doesn’t end there. FemAle Brew Fest is pet friendly and, in celebration of that, it is donating a portion of the proceeds to local nonprofit Abandoned Pet Rescue which is one of the largest no-kill shelters in South Florida.
Savor all the beer you can imagine at the FemAle Brew Fest on Saturday, September 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kimpton Goodland Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach, 2900 Riomar Street. Click here to visit their website.
