While we ever so patiently await the arrival of the 2026 World Cup, Julia & Henry’s has announced more fútbol fun to keep the city entertained in the meantime! The beloved food hall will debut The Downtown Cup, a first-of-its-kind soccer tournament set to take over Flagler Street.
In partnership with Delta Air Lines, LATAM, the Miami Downtown Development Authority and Celsius, the Cup will bring a 75×35-foot professional-grade turf field to the heart of the neighborhood. Located right on 200 East Flagler Street, players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to take part in the competition, offering a unique way to connect with the community and compete for major prizes.
A tournament, you say? With prizes? That’s right! Here’s what they include:
Adult League Prizes:
- 1st place: 5 flights to South America and $500/player, courtesy of Delta
- 2nd place: 5 dinners for 2 at Torno Subito and $300/player, courtesy of Don Q
- 3rd place: 5 $200 gift cards – Classic Football Shirts
Teen & Kids League Prizes:
- 1st place: 5 free admissions to week-long soccer camp
- 2nd place: 5 $300 gift cards – Soccer Locker
- 3rd place: 5 $100 gift cards – Classic Football Shirts
The field, complete will 11-foot net enclosures, will host 5v5 teams for the tournament. Each match will feature two 35-minute halves and a five-minute halftime. Teams can register in one of three groups: Adults (15+), Teens (11-14) and Kids (10 and under). And the best part? No cleats are required!

🗓️⏰ Dates and times: The official kick-off date for The Downtown Cup is Friday, May 2. Matches will take place on weekdays from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and weekends from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
⚽️ To register: Registration is $20 per player with a $100 team fee, and sign-ups will be open until April 30, so hurry fast! You can register here.

If you’re not interested in the tournament but want in on free play, pick-up games will be available on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can reserve a time slot on the Plei App by searching “downtown fields.”
