The holidays are descending upon the city as it gears up for all its twinkly lights and wintery fun this time of year. Among the jolliest of events making their way to Miami is Christmas Wonderland! Providing the sights and sounds of Christmas at every turn, the holiday-themed park is headed to Tropical Park for a second year in a row.
As soon as visitors enter through The Wonder Portal, a vibrant LED arch, they’ll be transported to the enchanting Tinsel Trail — a half mile spectacle of light displays and photo ops. This year will see six unique worlds and their own installations, such as a gingerbread lifeguard stand at Holidade, life-sized candy canes at Sweet Street, larger-than-life toys at Toy Town and a wall of snow at Arctic Delight.
Once an hour, the entire trail will go dark and sync up for an incredible combination of lights and music!
Of course, you can expect to find carnival rides, including the return of North America’s largest traveling ferris wheel, which towers at a whopping 150 feet! Adding to the thrills are live shows with gravity-defying aerialists and acrobats, as well as motorcyclists inside a steel Christmas ball.
Other highlights include the IG’loo 360-Dome, a 3D-mapped immersive adventure, and local food trucks serving delicious food and drink offerings.
Not only will Christmas Wonderland bring its festive A-game to the city, it will also help guests take home a furry friend! During its duration, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the park will host a pet adoption in collaboration with Miami-Dade Animal Services known as “Home for the Holidays.” Last year, it helped place 16 dogs with loving new families.
Christmas Wonderland will run from November 14 to January 5, 2025 at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155. Find out more on their website.
