If you remember seeing those “tatted like a Chipotle bag” memes all over social media, Chipotle is leaning into the joke and bringing back their legendary BOGO deal this week!
On Friday, March 13, customers who show up to a participating restaurant while rocking a tattoo can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one deal on entrées. It’s a nod to the rambling artwork on Chipotle’s takeout bags, and if you’re wondering, you can absolutely fake it! Permanent ink, a temporary stick-on or a masterpiece you drew on your arm with a pen in the parking lot all actually count.
Just keep in mind that the offer is valid only on Friday between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., and must be redeemed in person.
Exclusive Miami drop
While you can find this flash deal across Chipotle locations in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France and Germany, Miami is getting an extra special treat! The chain tapped hip-hop superstar and Miami local Swae Lee to create an exclusive temporary tattoo “flash sheet” inspired by the art on their bags. And you can get your hands on these limited-edition designs at the Midtown Miami Chipotle, located at 3201 N Miami Ave.
“Bringing this promotion back for Friday the 13th further establishes our connection with the tattoo community, and partnering with Swae Lee allows us to spotlight his authentic passion for the brand and give our fans something extra to commemorate the moment together,” said Stephanie Perdue, Interim Chief Marketing Officer, in a news release.
The flash sheets are only available during that same 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. window with a purchase, and while supplies last. So you’ll want to get there early!
While Friday the 13th is typically associated with bad luck, it sure is a lucky day for those who are tatted up (or tattoo-free with a marker).
