Meet Casa Kawa, a tranquil sculptural home in Miami Shores with relaxation and mindfulness in mind. So much so, there are quiet hours guests are asked to follow nightly to honor the peaceful energy that the space brings. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with enough room for four guests.
The listing describes it as a “flowing sanctuary of art, water, and presence,” embracing an organic design with natural curves and earth tones that make it almost cocoon-like. The walls are finished in chukum, a natural stucco technique developed by the ancient Maya.
In the dining area, a tatami-style table paired with ceremonial Senufo chairs sets the tone, and a circular built-in sofa invites conversation and calmness. The bedrooms, inspired by Japanese minimalism, also feature handmade details co-created with local artisans.
“We like that Casa Kawa isn’t the typical stay you’d expect to see in the Sunshine State,” the design magazine writes. “Whether you’re lingering in bed for just a few more moments or enjoying coffee, you’ll notice that natural light pours in through a number of sizable windows found across the property.”
Another highlight is the spa-inspired bathroom, which features raw concrete walls, flagstone floors and a glowing circular shower. Outside, instead of a pool or some turf, Casa Kawa’s space is a meticulously raked zen garden. It features a fountain and meditation labyrinth seamlessly connected to the energy of the home.
