With sunny blue skies and 85-degree temps in the middle of December, it’s not easy getting into the Christmas spirit in Miami. But Casa Juancho on Calle Ocho manages to provide an escape and make it feel “more North Pole than South Beach,” according to OpenTable. And we totally agree.
The online reservation service recently released its list of best restaurants with the most over-the-top, dazzling decor in the U.S. and Canada, and Casa Juancho made the cut! Ranked at #11 on the list of 12 restaurants, it’s the perfect place for a cozy feel. Upon entry, you’re immediately transported into a European Christmasland with beamed ceilings and a rustic wood look.
The long-standing Spanish restaurant goes all out every holiday — decking its halls with loads of shiny ornaments, sparkling lights, a glistening Christmas tree and garland wrapped everything that is sure to put you in the seasonal spirit.
Normally, Casa Juancho is already a place you want to get dressed up for. Its exterior resembles that of an old Spanish Castle and its tapas-style menu is ideal for a holiday feast. You’ll find hits such as jamón Ibérico, Spanish cheeses, and rice with bacalao and garbanzo beans. If you can’t pick just one dish, perhaps order several items from their tapas menu and enjoy them with an exquisite bottle of wine.
And for large gatherings, book one of the restaurant’s private rooms, which can seat groups as large as 100.
Stop by the beautifully-decorated Casa Juancho this time of year at 2436 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135, and enjoy all the outlandish and spectacular seasonal decor. It is open Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
