Helping others knows no borders or languages. Especially in the wake of disasters like the ones that struck Venezuela this past June 24, when a devastating double earthquake of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude left widespread destruction and thousands of victims. The world’s response? Donating, supporting, and pitching in with humanitarian relief efforts. Now, Miami is joining this wave of solidarity with a relief concert, where the net proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to an NGO currently operating on the ground in the affected areas.
This initiative comes from the live-entertainment platform Fever, which has organized a special, solidarity-driven edition of its famous Candlelight concerts to light up the Scottish Rite Temple MIA with thousands of candles. It’s happening for one night only: August 1 at 7:00 PM.
The musicians who are performing for free, and how the profits will be donated to Bambi International Foundation
The artistic side of the concert will be performed by talented local musicians, who will be playing pro bono to maximize the funds raised for the cause.
When it comes to the financials, Fever legally commits to making a subsequent corporate donation equivalent to 100% of the net proceeds of the concert (defined as the ticket purchase price minus applicable local taxes and payment processing fees) directly to our allied local foundations, specifically to Bambi International Foundation.
This charity provides safe housing, daily care, food, medical support, education, and family services for vulnerable children and families. In the aftermath of the earthquake, its work has become especially critical, providing shelter, stability, and long-term support to displaced families and children who have lost their parents or have been separated from their loved ones as a result of the disaster.
A concert bridging Venezuelan Roots with messages of hope
This 60-minute recital goes a little beyond the Candlelight concert we’re used to. Beyond its commitment to giving back, the programming for this event has been custom-tailored for the occasion: traditional Venezuelan folklore songs will be played alongside globally recognized tracks known for their spirit of hope. Think Alma Llanera, Venezuela, Here Comes the Sun, Hallelujah…
These immortal classics will set the soundtrack for an event that serves as a meeting point. Because this show isn’t just for Venezuelans looking to connect with their roots from Miami, but for absolutely anyone who wants to pitch in with Venezuela’s recovery (and do so through a live cultural event).
But Miami isn’t the only city where we’ll be able to experience this charity concert. Fever has mobilized worldwide, locking in dates in major metropolises like Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and New York.
