If you’re thinking about how you’re getting to and around the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix when it rolls into the city, Brightline has announced its annual game plan for race weekend — including saving passengers from having to brave the inevitable traffic! From May 1 to 3, Brightline is providing transportation for the “Big Race” at the Hard Rock Stadium and turning its Aventura Station into a hub of motorsport excitement.
Free shuttles
If you’ve ever tried parking at a major sporting event at the stadium, or really just any major event, you know the struggle. Passengers who book a train to Aventura from Orlando, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale or even Miami can hop right into Brightline’s complimentary “Hard Rock Stadium Connect” shuttles. Just look for the icon when booking!
The shuttles will run between the Aventura Station and stadium throughout the weekend, departing 10 minutes after trains arrive and returning from the Hard Rock one hour before departing trains. The dedicated stadium drop-off/pick-up area will be at Lot 16 near the Gate 3 Pedestrian Bridge.
Here’s a full breakdown of the train and shuttle schedule:
Friday, May 1
- Train Arrivals (Shuttles to the stadium): 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Shuttles depart the station 10 minutes after train arrivals.
- Return shuttles depart the race 1 hour before trains depart.
- Train Departures (Shuttles from the stadium): 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 2
- Train Arrivals (Shuttles to the stadium): 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Shuttles depart the station 10 minutes after train arrivals.
- Return shuttles depart the race 1 hour before trains depart.
- Train Departures (Shuttles from the stadium): 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 3
- Train Arrivals (Shuttles to the stadium): 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Shuttles depart the station 10 minutes after train arrivals.
- Return shuttles depart the race 1 hour before trains depart.
- Train Departures (Shuttles from the stadium): 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Discounted group fares
Hitting up the track with friends? The high-speed rail service is offering a sweet deal for groups! As a part of the race weekend offerings, squads of three or more will score 25% off Adult SMART fares for trips between South Florida and Orlando.
Pre-race activations
Since Aventura is the place to be during the festivities, the station will be buzzing all weekend with special tastings, food pairings and exclusive race day swag. And if you’re traveling out of MiamiCentral, Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach, hit up the station’s signature Mary Mary bar for a specialty race day cocktail before you board.
